New York, New York – Adam Sandler was quick to set the record straight when a viral TikTok story about his daughter Sadie getting in an argument with a designer handbag salesperson at Chanel made its rounds. “That was one of the weirdest, dumbest, 100% made up things,” Sandler told USA Today. “It was very odd.”
Sandler’s friend actually texted him about the story, and Adam was quick to dismiss it. “I said, ‘What are you talking about? It’s 100% nonsense,'” he added.
A Night at In-N-Out Burger
But Sandler wasn’t done with viral stories just yet. At the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, Sandler was being honored with the prestigious Maltin Modern Master Award. He joked that one of those viral stories is true: “That one’s true, and the other one’s pathetic,” referring to his midnight run to In-N-Out Burger in Cabazon.
Personal Tributes
During his speech, Sandler took a moment to thank his wife Jackie for 20+ years of support. “Thank you for keeping me going all these years. I love you forever,” he said. He also thanked his daughters Sadie and Sunny, calling them the “world” to him.
“To my daughters, Sadie and Sunny, you guys are my world. I love you two like you’ll never know,” Sandler added, drawing a round of applause from the audience.
